Your journey to Biarritz takes you to an elegant coastal town with sweeping views over the Atlantic coastline. The picturesque Basque town has always been a magnet for the rich and famous. Napoleon III built a palace on the seafront to take advantage of the magnificent views along the coast and this attracted many discerning visitors to this part of France. One of these was the British golf course designer Harry Colt who added to the region’s fine selection of golf courses. With it’s sandy beaches, attractive tree lined streets, fine restaurants and a great selection of golf courses, Biarritz appeals to both golfers and discerning travellers.

A Golfer's Delight

In the early 1900s, Biarritz became a favourite summertime getaway for British royalty. Many of the region's golf courses were planned and built by famous British golf course designers like Harry Colt or Tom and Willie Dunn. Following in the footsteps of British royalty you’ll experience challenging fairways set in lush forests and play cliff-top greens with magnificent ocean views.
