The Golf Crest Story

How It All Began

In 1987 Ed Woolley followed his dreams all the way to the ski resort of Meribel, France. Ed and his wife Anne converted an old ski chalet into a fully catered haven for discerning skiers and “Ski Cuisine” with its promise of expect nothing but the best was born. Golf Crest embraces the same ethos.Ed is joined at Golf Crest by Keith E. Paxton. Keith is a seasoned golfer who has organised golf trips for the past 20 years. When Keith and Ed planned a golf trip to France, they struggled to find a travel company who shared their vision of what a great golf trip should be.Both Ed and Keith knew that the difference between a good trip and a really special holiday lay in the details. A perfect holiday had to be more than just a trip – it had to be a complete experience. They had an idea; why not combine Keith’s expertise in golf with Ed’s keen eye for the personal touch and attention to detail and create something unique for discerning golfers? Golf Crest is the answer to that question. It’s Ed and Keith’s vision of what a great golf experience should be. It’s a personal invitation to just play and enjoy the moment while everything is taken care of.
